Would you believe I lost the entire intarsia project I was working on? I have no idea what happened to it and I've looked everywhere. I wanted to get some more photos of an interesting method of working in the ends in intarsia. Instead I'll show you a close-up of a photo from the Stuever intarsia book. To deal with intarsia ends, they recommend pulling each end diagonally up or down and then splitting some stitches to secure each end. It really is a neat way to deal with the ends.

Anyway, this method is quite bulletproof. Whatever method you use for dealing with all the intarsia ends, make sure you're not accidentally unlocking the interlocks because then you'll end up with holes in your knitting.

Easter is on its way and I've ordered a special present for Miss Bubbles. She's such a hard core chewer that I bought her a tunnel made out of willow. All of the local rescued rabbits have been pulled out of the Petco stores temporarily to avoid impulse Easter bunny purchases and instead they are sending everyone to the Make Mine Chocolate web site instead.

And speaking of bunnies, check out this article about Humphrey, supposedly the second largest bunny in the UK at around 28 lbs. He's apparently very picky about the brand of digestive biscuits he eats and he even has a favorite tv show!

I'm sure the project will reappear when you least expect it, if it hasn't already.

Thanks for the tip about dealing with the ends. I'm gestating an intarsia project so it was very timely.

Wow. What a bunny. Makes my Austin look tiny (which of course, he is!)

I think that is quite wise and very kind to pull bunnies out of pet stores at Easter. At least one of my two New Zealand whites is a rescue rabbit who was an Easter bunny from last year. She is a darling girl who fears nothing and has a scruffy scarred nose to prove it! She loves people and cats but not other rabbits. Her fur is spinnable! It is just shorter than angora but the same weight and feel. I guess I never thought of spinning New Zealand whites before!

I hope you and Austin have a Happy Easter Mandella!

Anonymous, I think I might be able to spin some of Bubbles' fur as well. She also has a scarred nose which means she has had quite a few adventures. Happy Easter!

I'm catching up reading your blog.

I don't dare look at bunny sites LOL.

Thanks for this intarsia pic -- alles ist clar, as the German say (all is clear)now. As usual, you spoil us with all your tips.

Thank you thank you thank you! You're the first resource that I've found that completely answered all my questions about intarsia - especially the simplest question - how do you continue after you've changed back to the original base colour! Keep up the great work!
